My Homegrown Vegetable Patio Garden - Week 14

My homegrown vegetable patio garden, week 14 pictures:

My potatoes are really falling away from their pots this week. I harvested one but the potatoes were still quite small so I have left the other two and will harvest them in the next few weeks.

Look at all the beautiful potatoes I got from one of my containers! I got a ton of soil that I pulled out with them but as I am only growing tomatoes and potatoes, I can't recycle it. I will have to try my hand at growing something else over autumn and winter. Maybe kale since I love it but my supermarket hardly ever stocks it. Just for my future reference, I found an awesome guide to crop rotation here.

My tomatoes are starting to fruit! I only have these two and one more tiny one but I am already so excited.

They are so big now. I am surprised they are still standing up without being tied to the stake.

My smaller tomato plants are still alive. I have actually moved them outside into the greenhouse because the kitten would not leave them alone. I thought they would probably stand more chance outside. They seem to be doing fine. I haven't moved them into their bigger pots yet, as I am still having trouble finding some. I think I am going to have to order some in.

The seedlings are still not growing lol. I don't know what to do with them really. At the moment, I am just watering and hoping for the best but I am not having much luck with them. They have been moved into the greenhouse aswell. I might try potting them on and seeing if more soil helps them grow a bit bigger.

My Homegrown Vegetable Patio Garden - Week 13

My homegrown vegetable patio garden, week 13 pictures:

My potato plants are staring to droop and fall away from the container. I'm pretty sure this means they are nearly ready!

My lovely tomato plants have had a growth spurt.

I'm having a bit of trouble with my smaller tomato plants. Partly because I forgot to water them for a few days and partly because I have a new kitten who is obsessed with them. They have wilted a lot and lost quite a few leaves but I will keep watering them and hope for the best. They need planting in their big pots really but I have searched high and low for pots to plant them in and every shop I've been in has been sold out of the size I need.

My seedlings do not seem to be getting bigger at all. I don't know what is wrong with them but I will persevere and hopefully soon they will be big enough.

Cute alert. Here is a picture of the new addition to the Mammy Made household. He is called Jareth after my favourite ever movie and I am in love with him :D

My Homegrown Vegetable Patio Garden - Week 12

Three biggest tomato plants.

Smaller tomato plants.

Tomato seedlings.

Again, nothing different this week. I just continued to water them every day and made sure they were all getting plenty of sun. They are doing so well. I'm actually amazed at how well they are doing with no plant food or anything, just water and sun!

My Homegrown Vegetable Patio Garden - Week 11

I have been a rubbish blogger the past few weeks. But I am baaack :) I want to just share the progress pictures for my vegetable patio garden and figured it would be best to keep them in individual posts to make it easier for people wanting to click from week to week.

So here are my homegrown vegetable patio garden, week 11 pictures:

Potato plants.

First three tomato plants.

Smaller tomato plants.

Tomato seedlings.

Lots of growth and the plants are all doing very well :) I did nothing different this week, just continued watering them every day. I gave 1ltr to each of the potato plants and 500ml to each big tomato plant. I filled the trays underneath the smaller tomato plants and seedlings a couple of inches, then poured it away when I could see the soil was wet.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing these progress pictures, even if they are a few weeks late.
